In this episode Coach Tim shares his successes, but also the determination, the drive and the perseverance that it took to get there. From a young age, Tim took the mindset of “I’m not only going to learn this, but I’m going to perfect this and become the best at this”. He wanted to be the best not from a place of ego, but from a place of wanting to serve and help others in the best way possible. And that mindset is what has brought him such tremendous success and accomplishments in his life.
This interview goes way beyond the sports performance, the struggles and how Tim overcame them to achieve the level of success that he has.
This is one of my favorite interviews that I’ve done because I am all about seeing and sharing men showing up differently in life. That’s what I love so much about this story and this interview; you see Tim interact with his kids, it’s real and it’s raw. I see this shift happening with men and women where women are finding their voice and becoming stronger and more confident, while men are becoming more vulnerable and sharing from a different place.
Tim embodies that shift. Yes, he’s a “guys-guy”; a sports performance coach who works with the top 1% of athletes in the world. But he also shows vulnerability, connection and passion. His two boys, Ryder and Zane, are his greatest accomplishments and you can see the love and connection among them when they make a special guest appearance in the interview.
