A question I get asked a lot from leaders: Charlotte, how do I make my team more productive? How do I get them more committed to the business and my vision? How do I level up my success?
Without knowing the ins and outs of the business, the history, the culture and what’s currently going on, it’s difficult to give a blank statement answer to that question. There are so many different layers that need to integrate to get a team to operate at that level. But the common thread is this: it starts at the top. It starts with the leader.
In this episode, I start to really dissect what a high performance team looks like and what the first step is in achieving that level within your business or organization.
I think it’s safe to say that no one wakes up wanting to feel bitter, resentful and angry. We want to feel great, we want to be happy, and positive, and have those great, fulfilling days.
But yet somehow, we continue to get sucked into those negative thoughts. Because those negative thoughts are extremely powerful emotions. Once you start to fall into it, it consumes you.
The power of those emotions really changes how you see things, how you act and what you believe. It’s like a dark hole that you get sucked into.
And the worst part is that once you’re in it, it’s really hard to get yourself out. It almost takes on a life of it’s own; we start operating from a place that is beyond ourselves and it really takes over if we allow it.
So - how do we get out of this bitterness and anger trap? And how can we strengthen our mindset to prevent us from falling into it time and time again?
Listen in to this episode and I’ll break it all down for you.
Aren’t those happy people so annoying?
Well, if you’re in a negative place...then yes, I guess they would be.
But you know what’s actually annoying?
The people who fail to take ownership over the energy that they give out to the world. The people who enter situations and interactions and conversations with negative energy, with gossip, with talking badly about other people, with complaining and anger. That’s the energy that they put out into the world?
We are all entitled to feel the way we feel...and to act the way we want to act. But in my opinion, that’s complete bullshit.
The world needs us to start taking accountability for that energy; to be more responsible with how we want to show up for other people.
I’m not saying bad things don’t ever happen.
I’m not saying you can’t feel angry or speak your mind if you need to complain about something.
What I’m saying is this: happiness...true, authentic happiness, is not a result of our circumstances. It’s a choice that we make every single damn day.
In this episode, I dive into happiness; why it’s so important to take ownership over how you show up, how you can bounce back quickly when shitty things do happen, and how you can shift your mindset towards a life full of more happiness.

What is his biggest driving force, his greatest motivator, in life?

Why is it that some people can get knocked down, and have terrible things thrown their way...yet they still have this amazing ability to be positive and joyous and view those situations as experiences to learn from? Whereas another person could go through those same situations and for them, they feel as if their life is over and everything is terrible.
It’s because the first person has strengthened that mindset. They’ve done the work and they’ve taken ownership over their life, their happiness and how they want to show up.
When you work through that and you build that strong mindset, then you’re able to move yourself out of those bad situations more quickly. You’re more peaceful, more joyous and you’re producing more results in your life.
Listen in to hear the shift I made this year that is causing such dramatic changes in my life, how you can start to live into your best and why it’s so important.
